Project Fi Airport 'Travel Trolley' Lures Subscribers With Goodies
Project Fi subscribers can grab some travel goodies if they happen to be passing through the San Jose Airport. Google calls the vending machine a 'Travel Trolley,' which itself is plastered with the Project Fi logo and a style akin to the Project Fi website. The items are free, but only if you have a Project Fi subscription, otherwise you're going to have to find an ordinary (read: not free) vending machine.
Vending machines are an increasingly popular way to offer small gadgets and gizmos you may need at the last minute, and have even been used to offer more expensive items like ereaders, headphones, and Snapchat Spectacles. The Project Fi vending machine is no different, offering travel-related things like charging cables, a toothbrush, or other things like that. Likely because some people tend to take advantage of these kind of things, the Trolley limits subscribers to one free item per 24 hours.

If you're passing through the SJC airport, you can find the vending machine in the airport's Terminal B near Gate 25. Assuming you have a phone on Project Fi, you'll need to call the following number: *#*#359948434#*#*.
Once you call that number, your phone will present you with a QR code. Hold the phone up to the Travel Trolley's scanner and use it to scan the code. After doing that, you can pick one of the items in the machine and it'll be dispensed for free. Google explains all of that here.
