Pokemon GO shiny egg list just blew up for Easter

This week we've got a far better chance of finding the cutest Shiny Pokemon in the universe, thanks to an update from Niantic to Pokemon GO. This update affects Pokemon Eggs – the new best place for you to find a Shiny Pokemon in the entire Pokemon GO universe. You can now find new Shiny Pokemon in 2, 5, 7, and 10KM eggs – so long as you've found these eggs on or after the start of this week. It would seem that the egg part of the Eggstravaganza started early!

New Pokemon popping out of eggs include Pichu, Smoochum, and Magby in 2km eggs. Users will also find (the possibility of) Shiny Igglybuff, Azurill, Togepi, Cleffa, Wynaut, Budew, Elekid, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Makuhita, Magikarp, and Luvdisc in 2km eggs. These short, tiny eggs will also potentially include Shiny Swablu, Swinub, Machop, Chikorita, Totodile, Meditite, Treecko, Cyndaquil, Aron, Gastly, Spoink, Wailmer, and Misdreavus.

In 5km eggs there'll be significantly fewer Pokemon possibilities, with the potential for Shiny Buneary, Eevee, Pineco, Magnemite, Mareep, Growlithe, Duskull, Drifloon, Lotad, Houndour, Scyther, Shuppet, and Snorunt. In 7km eggs we've got the potential for Shiny Togepi, Igglybuff, Cleffa, Budew, Azurill, and Wynaut.

NOTE: If you've not played the game for a while, these eggs are WAY different than they used to be – for content, anyway. If you're after some Alolan Pokemon like Vulpix, Diglett, or Meowth, walk out a few 7km eggs – that's where they be!

If you're lucky enough to nab a 10km egg, you'll potentially find a Shiny Shinx, Beldum, Dratini, Absol, Bagon, Mawile, Aerodactyl, Feebas, or Larvitar. Good luck on those – they're amongst the most rare non-event items in the game, and the Pokemon inside are pretty rare, too!

Niantic let it be known that the Eggstravaganza Event began on the 16th of April, 2019, and will last until April 23rd, 2019. On the start date, it was scheduled for 1PM PDT, and the same time is scheduled for the end date. During this event, users will be able to find a SHINY BUNEARY in the wild – just by hopping around in all the right areas.

Bonuses from this event include 2x Hatch Candy and 2x Incubator effectiveness. Users will find that Lucky Eggs will last twice as long as normal, too. That means that instead of 30 minutes, each Lucky Egg will last 60 minutes.

Limited-time Egg-focused Field Research (lol) will be popping up during this event, so keep an eye out for that. You'll be studying the wild like a real-life researcher before you know it. Research tasks will include hatching one egg, three eggs, and five eggs. Rewards include Buneary, Azumarill, and Chansey!
