Pioneer debuts new CDJ-850 digital media player for DJs
Pioneer has a gob of equipment and gear for pro and amateur DJs that it offers. This includes gear like the DJM-2000 pro DJ mixer that launched back in March. Pioneer has offered up another new piece of DJ equipment called the CDJ-850 digital media player.
This device has the same club layout as the professional level media players like the CDJ-2000 and CDJ-900. The 850 has a 206mm jog dial with rotary selector and browse buttons. The device supports a range of media formats like MP3, AAC, WAV, and AIFF form CD-r/RW discs or USB drives.
The 850 ships with rekordbox software that can analyze data like Wave, Beat Grid, BPM, and ID3 tags. The user can create cues and loop settings as well as create and edit playlists. The CDJ-850 will ship in August for $999.
