Pee-wee does Avengers trailer, teases new movie

The release of The Complete Pee-wee's Playhouse on Blu-ray is here, and what better place to let the whole world know than on Jimmy Fallon? Bouncing off a segment where Fallon himself does voice-overs of famous movie trailers with a Pee-wee voice, Paul Reubens was asked to do the same. Reubens suggested that he'd been contacted several times in the past, people asking him whether he'd been the voice of Pee-wee during Fallon's trailers. That time has come at last, and that Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer is here.

No longer is it James Spader who says "there are no strings on me." No longer does Robert Downey Jr hold the place of high honor at the head of this trailer. No! It's time for the Age of Pee-wee to return to prominence.

Oh and by the way, there's going to be a whole new Pee-wee movie coming out. Reubens suggested in this interview that he wouldn't be doing a proper announcement for the film at this time, but that he'd be revealing something massive in a week.

A movie. For real. Pee-wee's Big Adventure 2, or something like that. It's going to be super amazing.

Rumors have been floating about for quite a while that Judd Atapow might direct. That'd be super amazing as well.

And you see that Blu-ray case there on the desk? That Blu-ray case that contains two disks of Pee-wee's Playhouse, the entire collection in one box at one time for the first time in the history of the world?

We've got that too!
