Panasonic unveils new BDT100 full HD 3D Blu-ray player

Panasonic has announced the addition of a new full 3D HD video player to its lineup. The new player is the DMP-BDT100. The BDT100 will be available in August with no word on pricing at this time.

Panasonic promises that the player will provide superior 2D and 3D picture quality. The BDT100 supports a wide variety of audio standards and upconverts standard def films to 1080p. The BDT100 also promises to boot up and be ready to go in half a second.

The difference between the BDT100 and BDT350 players is that the higher-end BDT350 supports Panasonic Viera Cast internet functionality. This adds streaming content capability with support for Netflix, Amazon VOD, Pandora, Twitter, and YouTube. The 350 also has WiFi capability so a wired web connection isn't needed.
