OWC Data Doubler For MacBooks Adds Up To 2TB Internal Storage

Other World Computing (OWC) today announced a new OWC Data Doubler 1TB DIY Kit that can add up to 2TB of internal storage to your MacBook or MacBook Pro. The kit offers a conversion bracket and a 1TB 9.5mm hard drive to swap out the your current internal optical drive. You can also replace it with an up to 2TB drive, a RAID array, or some other customized configuration.

The OWC Data Doubler 1TB DIY Kit comes with an optical bay converter bracket, a Samsung Spinpoint M8 1TB 9.5mm hard drive, a detailed model-specific installation guide, a five-piece toolkit, and plenty of free online "How To" resources and installation videos. The kit is fully compatible with the following MacBook models:
