Overwatch double XP weekend starts tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, Overwatch players will earn double experience points across the three platforms upon which the game is available. The double XP weekend will run through June 12, with the exact time it starts depending on your region and time zone. According to Blizzard, the double experience bonus will be applicable to 'nearly all' the various sources of XP, among other things.

The company says the bonus experience points will apply to the XP earned completing a match, for the time spent in a match, winning a match, backfilling a match, earning a match, and finishing consecutive matches. Blizzard also says the bonus will 'stack multiplicatively with existing group and IGR bonuses.'

The company goes on to say that there will only be one thing that isn't affected by the bonus, and that's the First Win of the Day bonus, which will remain at 1500XP. Meanwhile, you'll need to check out the image above to figure out when the weekend officially starts for you. Those in Asia will see it starting early in the morning on June 9, and the same applies for gamers in Europe.

If you're located in the US or elsewhere in the Americas, the start time will depend on your location. If you're in the Pacific time zone, it'll start at 5PM on Friday; if you're on the East coast, it'll start at 8PM. You can see the full list of start times in the Americas below:
