Overfinch gives the Land Rover Defender upscale appeal

Fans of the Land Rover Defender all around the world were bummed to hear that the venerable off-roader would be phased out of production after decades. To celebrate that 40th anniversary of tweaking Defenders for off-road fans, Overfinch has announced a very limited run of special Defenders that make the spartan off-roader quite luxurious.

Only five Overfinch Defender 40th Anniversary editions will be built. Each of the five vehicles will have a specially numbered plaque inside and a bunch of nice features added in. Those features include a special hood and grille with LED daytime running lights and spotlights with the Overfinch name emblazoned.

Other updates include an aluminum fuel cap, what appears to be diamond pattern steel on the doorsills, new door handles, and a rear step and powered tow bar. Updated 18-inch wheels with Overfinch branding complete the outside changes. The truck also has Recaro sport seats on the inside and aluminum pedals.

The sat-nav system is updated and it has a DAB radio with a backup camera. The entire package is very well put together and looks fantastic. If you want one of the five available models, you will need to plunk down £70,000.
