OnePlus 5 now costs less if you're a student

There is probably going to be some mixed feeling about this new promo from OnePlus. One the one hand, you are trying to make technology more affordable for students who typically don't have enough resources to pay in full for some new gadget. On the other hand, you are tempting students with a device that could also become their academic undoing. Regardless, OnePlus is now offering a 10% discount on the OnePlus 5 or any other order or combination of orders, provided you can prove you are a student.

That is actually the only, and hard, requirement to get the 10% discount coupon. And you do so by using or creating a Student Beans account to prove that you are indeed what you say you are. Other than that, the promos is like any other, though there are of course some limits.

The 10% discount applies to anything you order. Yes, that even applies to the OnePlus 5. The major caveat is that the coupon only works once, so you better be sure that your checkout basket contains all that you want to buy. There is, however, another catch. Your basket can contain only a maximum of one OnePlus 5 phone. No cheating.

Most people aren't students for just one year. Fortunately, OnePlus isn't limiting its Student Program that way either. Although you can only use the 10% discount coupon once and within a month of receiving it, students can, and will have to, renew their status every year, for as long as they are a student. And, yes, that means you'll be able to get a new coupon every year. Presuming OnePlus continues the program until the day they close shop.

While the OnePlus Student Program is open to all students, it isn't available to all students of all countries. At the moment, it is only available in the following countries, with no word on whether the list will expand in the future.
