O2 lifts 200MB data usage cap for the iPhone

Something that has no doubt been troubling potential iPhone customers in the UK is O2's 200MB 'Fair-Use' cap that is placed on their mobile phone plans. Those of you sitting on the fence because of this can now buy your iPhone without thinking twice.

The terms and conditions page has been altered to no longer include the 200MB cap that had many people worried. While there may still be an unspoken cap, one can likely assume it is much higher than before. Here's the official word on their site.

"There is no limit on the monthly network usage. However if we feel that your activities are so excessive that other customers are detrimentally affected, we may give you a written warning (by email or otherwise). In extreme circumstances, if the levels of activity do not immediately decrease after the warning, we may terminate or suspend your Services."
