Nyko unveils Data Bank for PS4 at CES 2015

Nyko is a big name is an aftermarket accessories for gamers and the company has unveiled several new products at CES 2015. One of the most interesting of those products is for the PS4 and is called the Data Bank for PlayStation 4. The Data Bank is a hard drive dock for the PS4 that replaces the top of the console and 2.5-inch factory storage drive providing compatibility with standard 3.5-inch desktop drives.

By supporting 3.5-inch desktop drives gamers have the option of using higher capacity drives to store more gaming data for their console. Nyko says that the Data Bank eliminates the need for an external hard drive. The replacement dock lid matches the minimalist design of the PS4 and has a LED strip that glows when the drive is being accessed.

Nyko plans to start shipping the Data Bank in the first half of 2015 at an undisclosed price. Other new products unveiled at the show include a Type Pad for PS4 that attaches a full QWERTY keyboard to the Dualshock 4 controller.

Nyko also showed off a Light Grip for the Xbox One that connects to the wireless controller and allows for customization and offers LED lights with 17 patterns and combinations to choose from. The Charge Dock Mini is a power station for charging a pair of Xbox One controller battery packs. All of the products are expected to ship in the first half of 2015.
