Well, if a source at NVIDIA is to be believed, the company’s Ion platform is set to be available in netbooks starting as soon as June. And while this isn’t earth-shattering news, it might be worth noting for those holding out for a netbook with better graphics.
There are several other companies that are set to release their systems that feature NVIDIA Ion in June as well at the Computex show in Taiwan. However, we still don’t know which companies they are and what specifically they will be releasing.
We can expect the first Ion-including netbooks to ship sometime in July. It’s the perfect graphics choice for netbooks where space is limited but there’s a desire for better performance without taking a huge chunk out of the battery’s lasting power.
