Nokia 225 and the dual SIM variant have miniscule 2.8-inch screens

Nokia has unveiled a couple new mobile phones that it says are the slimmest internet phones that it has offered so far. The new devices include the Nokia 225 and the Nokia 225 Dual SIM. The two phones are identical save SIM support and each has a 2.8-inch screen and a physical keyboard. Nokia 225 devices are dust and splash proof to help them last longer.

One glance at the specifications of these phones tells you these are budget offerings that aim at people that can't afford a mobile that has modern specs or just want something basic. The upside to a small screen and slower processor is longer battery life. Nokia claims that the single SIM version is good for 36 days on standby per charge.

The dual SIM version of the 225 is good for 27 days on standby. Nokia uses the Series 30+ operating system on the device. Measurements are 124mm x 55.5mm x 10.4mm and the 225 weighs 100.59g. Power comes from a 1200 mAh internal battery.

I already mentioned standby times, talk time for the 225 is up to 21 hours. Despite the meager specifications, Nokia does include Bluetooth 3.0 and support for memory cards up to 32GB capacity. An FM tuner helps keep people entertained. The phone also comes with five pre-loaded games including Block Breaker 3, Asphalt 6, Assassins Creed 3, The Avengers, and Real Football 2012. Nokia will offer the single SIM 225 for 39 euros with it and the dual SIM version shipping in select markets in Q2.
