Nintendo Switch in stock at Toys R Us again this weekend

We're now more than a month out from the launch of the Nintendo Switch and many folks are still having trouble finding one. It would seem that Nintendo didn't realize how popular the Switch would be, which is causing stock problems around the country. Those of you still looking will want to check out Toys R Us this weekend, as the retailer has announced new incoming stock.

Toys R Us says that on Sunday, April 9, all of its locations across the United States will be getting new Nintendo Switch stock. The company expects these consoles to sell out quickly – which kind of goes without saying – and because of that, it recommends that people line up ahead of their store's 10 AM opening time.

Nintendo's original goal was to sell 2 million Switch consoles by the end of March, and assuming stock issues didn't bottleneck sales too much, it probably hit that goal. The Switch's launch was notable in that it sold faster than the Wii, which is one of Nintendo's best-selling consoles of all time.

If Nintendo can keep it up, the Switch could become a much-needed hit for the company. We'll see if sales remain high even after the Nintendo faithful have all found Switches of their own. Thus far, though, launch has been encouraging.
