Nikon D750 DSLR becomes official: 24MP FX-format sensor and more

Over recent weeks we've been seeing leaks concerning a new DSLR from Nikon called the D750. The company has made that camera official today, confirming a lot of specs we've already seen surface and tossing a load of new details into the mix. We've a gallery of the camera after the jump.

The D750 is a DSLR offering a 24.3-megapixel Nikon FX-format CMOS sensor joined by a body promised to offer "superior agility" via boasting points including a lightweight and relatively compact design. Under the hood lies an EXPEED 4 image processor.

Among the DSLR's varied features is a 51-point autofocus system, an optical viewfinder offering 100-percent coverage, an advanced scene recognition system, integrated WiFi (the maker's first FX-format shooter with this feature), and the ability to shoot up to 100 images per burst.

Around back is a tilting LCD display, another first for Nikon's FX-format cameras. The display can tilt up about 90-degrees and down about 75-degrees. This is joined by a camera body made from magnesium alloy and carbon fiber composite material. Nikon hasn't yet released pricing or availability info.
