Nexus 7 2013 tablet lands at Verizon
We mentioned a couple days ago that the Google Nexus 7 2013 tablet would be hitting Verizon Wireless soon. That tablet is now available on the Verizon website. The new tablet has a full HD resolution display and supports the Verizon LTE network.
The tablet will be offered in two deals. You can get it for $249.99 if you sign up for a two year data contract. If you get the tablet with a month to month data plan, it will cost you $349.99. The upside to paying that extra $100 is no contract.
Verizon is also offering a bundle that includes a Chromecast, screen protectors, and a car charger for the tablet for $329.96 with a 2-year contract or for $429.96 without. Either way you go, the tablet is the same featuring a 7-inch screen with 323 ppi. The tablet uses a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.
The tablet also has dual-band WiFi a 5MP rear camera. The front camera is a 1.2MP unit and the screen is covered in Gorilla Glass to resist scratches. The tablet also has Bluetooth 4.0 and runs Android 4.4 KitKat for the OS.
