New Venom trailer is packed with symbiotes

Sony has release a couple of trailers for Venom so far, and with each new one, we learn a little more about the movie. In the last trailer, we finally got to see what Venom will look and sound like, but this time around, he gets a lot more screen time. He isn't alone, either, as this trailer shows us that Venom isn't the only symbiote roaming the streets.

Though this new trailer does show us some footage that we've seen before, there's plenty that's new. We get to see more of Venom in action, and the trailer further details the uneasy relationship between Eddie Brock and his symbiote. The trailer also makes Venom's fondness of eating people clear, which is a somewhat disturbing aspect of an already creepy character.

Brock and Venom aren't the only human and symbiote pair to successfully bond, though that may have already been obvious by the suggestion that the Life Foundation – the movie's antagonistic corporation – has been performing illegal experiments on human subjects. In fact, we even see the leader of the Life Foundation, Carlton Drake, donning a symbiote of his own later on in the trailer, using it to fight Venom one-on-one.

This is just pure speculation on my part, but it certainly seems like these other symbiotes are setting the stage for an appearance by Carnage, one of Spider-Man's more deadly foes. We may not see Carnage in this movie, but the presence of other symbiote-bonded humans does suggest that we'll see him in a sequel. Again, though, that's just my own speculation, so take it for what it may be worth.

In any case, this trailer is arguably the best we've seen yet, as it gives us more of the antihero we really want to see. We have just over two months to wait before Venom releases, with its current launch date set for October 5, 2018. We'll likely see more trailers before then, but for now, head down to the comments section and let us know what you thought of this one!
