New Guitar Hero songs for old and new versions of the game

Looks like I was a little behind things yesterday, Activision announced three brand spanking new tracks for Guitar Hero II. These tracks are available only on the Xbox 360 version of the game, and only by downloading them as a pack from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The new tracks are all from the My Chemical Romance CD The Black Parade. The songs are Teenagers, Famous Last Words and This is How I Disappear. This marks the first time brand new tracks have been made available via the Xbox Live Marketplace. The others were all from the original game in the series. The price for this pack of songs is 500 points.

If that wasn’t enough Guitar Hero goodness, it was also revealed today that She Bangs the Drums by The Stone Roses will be featured as a cover on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Honestly, I’ve never heard of these guys. I even tracked down the video for this song and still didn’t recognize it. I guess that’s what I get for growing up in the 90’s.
