Nanoflowcell Quantino fuel cell concept car has 620-mile range

During the Geneva Auto show a company called Nanoflowcell talked a lot about its new fuel cell powered sports car called the Quant F. This car produces about 1075 hp for a limited amount of time giving it some serious performance. At Geneva, Nanoflowcell also had another concept car that it debuted.

That second car is called the Quantino and whereas the Quant F is about performance, the Quantino is all about the driving range. The car uses the Nanoflowcell flow battery to give the sort of driving range you need for a daily commute or even a weekend trip.

According to the company, the car is good for a driving range of 620 miles per tank of ionic fluids. The car uses 48V and has the equivalent of 136hp using a Nanoflowcell buffer system and electric motors. The Quantino has a top speed of 124mph and a pair of 46-gallon tanks for storing the ionic fluids.

The Quantino is a 2+2 hatchback that looks a bit like a stylized Hyundai Veloster to my eyes. The company plans to have a version of the Quantino on the roads for testing later this year. There is no real word on when or if the car will ever enter mass production at this time.
