NAD T587 Is Full-Feature Blu-Ray Player With BD-Live
Though the NAD T587 Blu-Ray player was first introduced at CEDIA 2008, today's announcement confirms its final specification- NAD first entry in the world of Blue with a full feature Profile 2.0 and high-end Blu-Ray player. Priced at $1,500, the desk is hitting almost all the essential features for Blu-ray most pristine audio and video playback.
The T587 covers BD Profile 1.1, 2.0 and can decode and bitstream all advanced HD codecs, including Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD MA and DTS-HD HR in 7.1 channels, via its HDMI output. For video, NAD delivers resolution of up to 1080p 24/60 over HDMI with the supports of Deep Color and xvYCC Extended Color Space. DVD movies playback can be upconverted to 1080p but the announcement makes no mention of video upscaler chipset.
The NAD T 587 Blu-Ray player is expected to be available from authorized NAD dealers in December 2008.
