Motorola One Power is still a thing, full details leaked

The slight controversy about the not so high-end Moto Z3 and the announced lack of a Z3 Force has practically taken over most of Motorola's stage. That, however, doesn't mean that ol' Moto has forgotten about the Motorola One Power. Even if most probably have. That still seems to be on the table and we're getting a more complete look at what's inside. And unless it has some special trick up its sleeve, it's going to be hard to see how Motorola plans on marketing this handset.

If you've been following Motorola's phones closely, you might get a sense of deja vu after seeing the image of the Motorola One Power acquired by 91mobiles. That's because it shares the same basic design as the recently announced Motorola P30, exclusive to the Chinese market. That, however, is only a very superficial similarity, as the One Power is clearly marked as a mid-range phone, inside and out.

According to the leaked specs, which confirm previously leaked specs, the Motorola One Power will be driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 and will have 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of storage. There's a dual camera setup at the corner, 16 and 5 megapixels, while the front camera has a lone 12 megapixel sensor. Keeping true to its "Power" moniker, the smartphone is expected to have a generous 5,000 mAh battery.

Like the Motorola P30, the 6.18-inch 2246x1080 screen will have a notch. Unlike the P30, however, the One Power skimps on the premium flourishes. In other words, it's going to look like any mid-range phone in the market these days.

The spec sheet does confirm that the Motorola One Power will run Android 8.1 Oreo but doesn't qualify it as Android One. That would have been this smartphone's signature feature. Without it, will be yet another forgettable mid-range smartphone in an already congested market.
