Moto Z4 briefly pops up on Amazon, shipping to some customers

Almost two weeks ago, Motorola finally announced the much-leaked Motorola One Vision. Having specs higher than any other Motorola phone so far, the One Vision’s existence fanned the flames of the Moto Z line’s upcoming retirement. The company has so far been quiet but Amazon, fortunately, broke that silence by briefly selling the Moto Z4. Whether it is the last of its kind, however, is something only Motorola itself could answer.

The Moto Z4 pretty much what we’ve heard and seen so far from leaks, which may or may not disappoint some who were hoping for a higher-end device. It is indeed powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 675 with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of expandable storage. The 6.4-inch Full HD+ display has a resolution of 2340×1080 and has a small notch for the front camera.

As for those cameras, there’s only one on each side. The front has a 25 megapixel sensor while the back has a “48MP sensor with 12MP output using Quad Pixel technology.” That seems to be on par with some large imaging sensors these days and we wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out to be the popular Sony IMX586.

Those actually excited for a new Moto Z phone might be disappointed to find out that the silent launch may have just been a fluke. Amazon has pulled the product down for now but, fortunately for us, it has already started shipping to some buyers.

Yes, the Moto Z4 is shipping with the Moto 360 Camera Moto Mod, which reveals to things. First, and to no one’s surprise really, it means that the Moto Z4 is still compatible with any Moto Mod out there. The second is that considering the Moto 360 Camera costs $199.99, the Moto Z4’s actual solo retail value might be lower than this $499.99 price tag would suggest.
