Moto X now available on Verizon's web store

If you're a Verizon customer and you've been counting the days until you could get your hands on the Moto X, we have some good news for you today. The new Moto X is now available on the Verizon web store. You can purchase the smartphone on or off contract via the website right now.

That means you don't have to go into a Verizon store or reseller and deal with lines or employees trying to sell you something other than what you're specifically looking for. The smartphone launched earlier this month but was only available in retail stores. The Moto X may not have the best specifications as far as hardware on paper, but it has turned out to be a very good performer overall and very popular with mobile phone users.

Under the hood, the device uses the Motorola X8 computing system and a pair of low-power context computing chips and has a number of interesting features. One of the most interesting aspects of the Moto X for many buyers is the fact that it can be completely personalized with different color cases and software.

As it stands now the Moto Maker customization tool is expected to come to the carrier masses by the end of the year. Currently only the 16 GB version of the smartphone is available on the Verizon website in black or white colors. The phone will cost you $199.99 with a new two-year contract or $599.99 at full price. If you're going to buy one of these devices online, a "VERIZON30" coupon code has surfaced that will reportedly save you 30% on the purchase. If the coupon code works be sure you let us know in the comments. If you want to know more about the Moto X, check out our review.
