Mophie's biggest Powerstation is made with MacBook in mind

Typically, when most people hear the name Mophie they think of battery cases for flagship smartphones. While those battery cases are a major part of the company's business, it's also made quite a few external batteries that aren't hidden within a phone case. Today, it introduced its newest external battery, the Powerstation USB-C 3XL, and it's aimed squarely at MacBook users.

The USB-C 3XL is Mophie's largest Powerstation yet, clocking in at a beefy 26,000mAh. With that, Mophie says it can provide up to 18 hours of power to the MacBook, though the company didn't reveal the testing methods that led it to that figure. Regardless, a 26,000mAh battery should offer a lot of juice on a full charge, and it doesn't just need to be used to power a MacBook when you're away from a wall outlet.

The Powerstation features USB-C PD inputs and outputs (along with a USB-A port), which means that you can use it to charge an iPhone as well. With those charging ports peaking at 45W, you'll have fast charge capabilities when connecting an iPhone to the Powerstation, with Mophie saying that some models charge up to 50% in 30 minutes. That should also mean that the Powerstation itself recharges quickly, but speed is relative when we're talking about capacities as high as 26,000mAh.

The Powerstation also uses Mophie's Priority+ Charging, which means that connected devices will charge before the Powerstation when it's plugged into an outlet. Beyond those features, we've got your standard set of LED lights for a read out on remaining battery life, and the Powerstation has been outfitted in fabric so it doesn't scuff up your devices when packed alongside them in a bag or a suitcase.

It's sounds like a pretty capable external battery, but that kind of capacity comes with a price. Mophie's Powerstation USB-C 3XL will set you back a not-insignificant $199.95. If that rather hefty price tag doesn't stop you from wanting one, you can pick it up today from Mophie's store, Apple.com, and some Apple retail stores.
