Monster Hunter: World PC Release Date And Specifications Revealed
It's safe to say that Monster Hunter: World quickly became a sensation when it launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 early in the year. Fans were definitely excited for Monster Hunter's return to consoles, and it didn't take long for Monster Hunter: World to gather up an impressive collection of glowing reviews and become the best-selling game in Capcom's history. All the while, though, PC players were left on the outside looking in.
Though Monster Hunter: World was primed to be the first mainline game in the series to come to PC, Capcom confirmed shortly before its scheduled release date that the PC port had been delayed. At the beginning of January, Capcom revealed that Monster Hunter: World wouldn't arrive on PC until sometime in autumn 2018, extending the wait by many months with one brief announcement.
Fast forward to today and it seems that Monster Hunter: World for PC is nearly ready to go. Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter: World will release on PC on August 9, 2018. The company also shared a list of minimum and recommended specifications for the game, and they're surprisingly accessible. Have a look below:

So, you don't necessarily need a super beefy rig to be able to run Monster Hunter: World, but it sounds like a powerful one will be required if you want to play above 30 frames per second. In today's announcement, Capcom said that updates and fixes made to the Xbox One and PS4 versions will be applied over time to the PC version, and that the PC version's event schedule will differ from those on other platforms. Monster Hunter: World is available for pre-order on Steam beginning today for $59.99.
