MetroPCS unveils a suprisingly low prepaid plan promo
It might not exactly be part of its "Un-carrier" marketing, but T-Mobile's prepaid arm is definitely getting into the spirit. Starting today, subscribers can walk into any MetroPCS store or authorized dealer to pick up a new prepaid plan that will get them unlimited text, unlimited voice, and unlimited data. All for just the price of $30 a month, which is quite an insane low price for those who don't want a contract, are on a tight budget, but still want the clout and backing of a known name like T-Mobile.
Mobile users are being even more budget conscious these days, despite or perhaps because of their growing data usage. Whereas 2-year contracts were mostly accepted as part of digital life a few years ago, some have started to drift away from that old way of doing business, and carriers are adopting to the changing demands, and the changing sources of cash. For T-Mobile, that means charing the way it does business with its onslaught of Un-carrier practices as well as strengthening its prepaid offer through MetroPCS.
With this new promo, you get the full package of MetroPCS' prepaid services, which includes, as mentioned, unlimited text, voice calls, and data. That first 1 GB of data even comes at 4G speeds! That's all on top of usual services like voicemail, caller ID, and others. Without an annual contract and for only $30 a month. $50 if you go for 2 lines under a Family Plan.
There are, however, a few caveats to this promo. The $30 promotional price is only open to existing subscribers who already have a GSM phone with 3G and 4G connectivity, purchased from the carrier, of course. LTE phones are sadly out of the question. The next problem is finding a store to walk into. The promo is available in MetroPCS stores and some of its authorized dealers. National retail partners like Wal-Mart are not included. As to when this promo stays in effect, neither T-Mobile nor MetroPCS are saying.
