Mercedes-Benz SLC Final Editions bid a fond farewell to the SLC

Mercedes is set to end production of the SLC 300 Roadster, and as a special goodbye to the model, Mercedes has debuted a couple SLC Final Edition cars. The Final Edition of the AMG SLC 43 will be offered in an exclusive Sun Yellow paint that is a throwback to the premiere of the SLK roadster in 1996. Both the 2020 SLC 300 Final Edition and AMG SLC 43 Final Edition will land in dealer showrooms next year in the US.

The SLC 300 Final Edition will come in Selenite Gray with an AMG Styling front bumper with trim strips in chrome on the lower section. Door handles, mirrors, and rear brace are in glossy black. The front fenders of the car have "SLC Final Edition" badges, below a chromed fin.

The car comes with standard 5-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels in 18-inch diameter with a high-gloss black finish. For improved handling and style Mercedes lowers the suspension by 10mm compared to standard SLC 300s and the car gets larger brakes. Inside the car has two-tone Nappa leather in black/silver pearl with grey topstitching.

The leather is applied to the standard fit sport seats, door trim, and door center panels, and other areas. Seat belts are gray to match the top stitch color, and the head restraints have carbon-fiber look leather inserts.

The SLC 43 Final Edition mixes high-gloss black with the Sun Yellow paint. The car rolls on matte black 5-spoke AMG wheels in 18-inch diameter shod with 235/40 front tires and 255/35 rears. The leather interior is the same color as the SLC 300 version. The AMG ride uses a V6 making 385hp and 384 lb-ft torque; the SLC 300 has an inline four making 241hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Pricing is unannounced at this time.
