Mercedes-AMG A45 Champions Edition celebrates F1 manufacturers championship

Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 racing team has been doing very well over the last few seasons with other manufacturers and drivers having a hard time keeping up with the Mercedes-AMG team. The team won the manufacturers championship in 2014 and as of this month has already clinched the title for the 2015 season as well and to celebrate a special version of the A45 hot hatch has been announced.

The car is called the A45 Champions Edition and it is a limited edition offering with some exclusive features. Mercedes-AMG calls the car the Silver Arrow for everyday driving and it uses a 2.0L four-cylinder engine under the hood.

The car is offered in three colors including Mountain Grey Metallic, Deisgno Mountain Grey Magno, and Polar Silver Metallic and each of the colors come with the Petrol Green and black livery that is meant to look like the livery used on the Mercedes AMG F1 car. A45 Champions Edition cars also get an aero-kit on the body with bumper canards, larger front splitter, and a big roof spoiler.

The wheels are 19-inch unique offerings in titanium grey with Petrol Green rim flange. Inside the car has optional AMG Performance seats with leather and microfiber with the white and Petrol Green stripes. Green accents are also on armrests, dashboard, and the steering wheel. Air vent rings inside the car are green as well. The drivetrain remains the same 2.0 turbo four making 381hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. The A45 Champions Edition sells for about $69,370 in Germany and will not come to the US.
