McLaren 675LT wearing Gulf livery is a nod to past racing glory

McLaren has rolled out a one-of-a-kind 675LT that is wearing a Gulf racing livery for one lucky buyer and the car looks fantastic. This isn't the traditional powder blue and orange livery that you might think of, but it is an iconic livery. The design of the 675LT is meant to be a homage to the 1996 Gulf-Davidoff GTC McLaren F1 GTR "Longtail" racing car.

The special livery took McLaren over 1,000 hours to complete and was done by hand. The result is a livery that looks almost identical to the old racing car, which is seen in the background of one of the photos. The hood, roof, and trunk area of the car is painted in orange and powder blue. The lower half of the car is black with orange accents.

The wheels on the car are unique 20-spoke units that are painted in orange and look as if they might have come right out of the spares stack of the racing car. The special paint was slathered in the sexy 675LT and joined by a bunch of MSO exterior bits.

The MSO touches include a front lower lip, side skirts, and diffuser. The car also has some cool interior tidbits as well. The seatbelts are in a matching bright orange and there are orange rings around dash vents to match the stripe on the outside.

While the car wears special paint and trim bits, the twin-turbo V8 engine is stock with 666hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. That will push the car to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph.
