Master Dynamic MW50 wireless on-ear headphones rock 40mm beryllium drivers

Master Dynamic has unveiled its latest audio device called the MW50 On-Ear Headphones and they are wireless and meant for use anywhere you want to hear music. The MW50 have an industrial design and are made with premium materials. The bulk of the headphones are made from stainless steel and machined aluminum.

The antenna for the Bluetooth headphones is machined aluminum for durability, style and best in class signal range. The headphones support multi-point connectivity meaning you can connect the headphones to two devices at one time and transition between the two devices. Power comes from an internal 16-hour lithium ion battery.

If the battery runs out when you are away from an outlet to recharge, you can switch to a wired connection and keep listening thanks to an included woven cable. The headband is covered with heavy grain cowhide leather and the ear pads are made with memory foam wrapped in soft lambskin leather. The drivers are custom 40mm beryllium units with frequency response of 5-30,000Hz. Bluetooth 4.1 with aptX audio tech is used inside the headphones.

MW50 buyers get dual microphone array for noise rejection and clear audio during calls. Tactile controls are on the ear cups for control over media and phone calls. The headphones measure 190mm x 175mm x 60mm and weigh 240g. The headphones are offered in silver/black and silver/brown colors and are available directly from the Master Dynamic website for $449. MW50 headphones ship with a canvas pouch for carrying the headphones and a leather cable box that holds the 3.5mm headphone cable and the USB-C charge cable.
