Marvel's Ant-Man: first full length trailer goes live

Last week, Marvel teased eager fans with a pre-movie trailer video that offered clips from the actual first trailer — only they were in tiny ant-sized windows too small for anyone to actually see. We blew up the clips and they gave a fuzzy, if somewhat frustrating glimpse at what was going on in the scenes, but ultimately it was a wait-and-see game until the actual trailer was released. Now it's here, and we get a full human-sized look at those clips, as well as nearly two minutes of other footage.

Paul Rudd's is the first face we see, and it is accompanied by a smooth narrative of someone promising him a better life. "This is your chance to earn that look in your daughter's eyes," Rudd's character is told. "To become the hero that she already thinks you are."

All the while we're getting a decent look at the world beyond the ordinary before the bomb is finally dropped: "It's not about saving our world. It's about saving theirs. Scott, I need you to be the Ant-Man."

Thus comes our first real look at Ant-Man in all his miniature costumed glory. There's a flying ant and Rudd on his back, and even a fun poke at the cheesy name ("Question: is it too late to change the name?" Rudd's character asks). The movie hits theaters this summer on July 17!
