Loopt update integrates Facebook Places mapping
Android fans that live on Facebook can now get a new version of Loopt that integrates the new Facebook Places feature. The new Places feature allows the user to find their friends on an interactive map so they can see who is nearby.
The new version also brings with it some other new updates. One of those new updates is a dual check-in feature that allows users to do a Loopt check-in and a Facebook check-in at the same time. That means comments on a Loopt update will also show up as a comment on the friend's Facebook Places page as well.
The update also brings a friend history with it that allows the user to pull up check-in logs for people in their friends list. The registration system has also been streamlined with a new email login option and new users can join using their phone number of email. The new version of Loopt is available right now.
