Logitech X300 wireless speaker debuts

Logitech has taken the wraps off some new portable wireless speakers, the X300. With the X300 comes the promise of "theater-quality sound" alongside a design that makes for easy toting from desk to the bedroom, poolside, or wherever some tunes are wanted.

The speaker — which will be launching in the United States and other unspecified countries in Asia some time this month — was designed to offer widely-dispersed sound via angled drivers.

The bass, mids and highs are all promised to be "precise", and are joined by what Logitech's product manager for the category says is "a completely new acoustic platform." The speaker measures in at just under 6-inches long by 2.7-inches high and 2.8-inches deep.

The wireless functionality allows the speaker to be connected via Bluetooth and used to distances up to 30-feet away. The speaker doubles as a speakerphone if a call comes in while the handset is connected. Charging is accomplished via microUSB.

The X300 is priced at $69.99 USD.
