Lift charges your Apple Watch as it levitates

If you own an Apple Watch and want to charge it with something more interesting than what Apple designed, the Lift levitation charger might be just the ticket. This charger uses an induction system that works with a charging base that levitates your watch in the air and charges it at the same time. The charging station can also act as a smart lamp when you aren't charging your watch.

The makers of the Lift charger say that it was designed with machined aluminum or main housings and structural components and there are medical grade ceramics in the induction system. The idea was to create a high-end device that matches the fit and finish of the Apple Watch. Users can use the touchscreen as the watch floats on the charger.

If you don't use an Apple Watch, the Lift charger also works with the last two generations of Pebble watch as well. That means it is comparable with the Pebble 2, Time 2, Pebble Time, Pebble Time Steel, and Pebble Time Round when fitted with all bands and in all sizes. Both the 42mm and 38mm case Apple Watches are supported.

The main section of the Lift charger that fits inside the Apple Watch has its own internal battery to charge your wearable on the go. The Lift base can also be used to charge any smartphone that supports inductive charging. The small floating orb lamp looks like half a light bulb. Lift is on Kickstarter seeking $44,000 and has raised over $255,000 with 23 days to go as of writing. A pledge of $159 or more will get a Lift with shipping estimated for October 2016, but you have to choose the charger or the orb at this level. To get both the charger and the orb you will have to spend $219 or more with deliver in October.
