LG V30 US launch details you need to know

The time has finally come, and just in the nick of time. Or not. LG has just announced that its late 2017 flagship, the LG V30 will be hitting US shores in the next two weeks. Major US carriers have also put more specific dates on that promise, which all starts next week. But LG might have taken its sweet time far too long as those dates will inconveniently coincide with the Google Pixel 2 launch and the iPhone X pre-orders.

LG launched the V30 in Korea just last week and promised that the rest of the world would follow suit. Until today, however, the OEM and its carrier partners have been silent on the specifics, particularly dates and prices. Now they have revealed almost all, and they all start on October 5. Well, almost.

AT&T will start sales of the LG V30 on October 5, but if you prefer to walk into a physical store to get one, you'll have to wait until the 6th to do so. It will be available on AT&T Next for $27 for 30 months and you can get one for free if you add another line, also on AT&T Next. If you buy before November 13, AT&T will be throwing in a free Daydream View VR headset and some free VR content to go along with it.

T-Mobile subscribers will have to wait a while. What happens on October 5 is only the start of pre-orders. Actual retail availability won't happen until October 13. T-Mobile is offering the LG V30 on its Equipment Installment Plan with an $80 down payment and $30 monthly fee. That brings the full retail price to $800. Sadly, no freebie from the un-carrier, so enjoy an unboxing video instead.

Last but not the least is Verizon who, unfortunately, isn't yet giving out details. All it wants to say, for now, is that it will make the LG V30 immediately available starting October 5. No pre-orders needed.

As expected, the LG V30 is coming with LG's new Second Year promise that extends the usual one-year limited manufacturer warranty to two years, free of charge. You will have to remember to immediately register your device upon purchase, though.
