LG G Pad X 8.0 tablet and K10 phone hits AT&T this Friday

This upcoming Friday, AT&T will offer two new devices: the LG K10 smartphone and the LG G Pad X 8.0 tablet. The K10 smartphone will be offered under the AT&T Next (monthly device payment) program, while the tablet will be made available with a two-year contract option. Both devices fall into the budget tier, offering a couple new Android options for those who don't want to spend too much.

The LG K10 was first announced back in January of this year; it has a modest 720p 5.3-inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and runs Android Marshmallow. Under the hood lies a Snapdragon 410 chipset and Adreno 306 GPU. The phone has 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports card capacities up to 32GB.

AT&T will offer the device for $6/month for 30 months under its AT&T Next monthly payment plan; that works out to $180 total for the device, which is a good rate for the specs. The LG G Pad X 8.0 tablet, though, will start at $49.99 USD with a two-year contract, plus the cost of cellular data services.

The tablet was announced last month and features an 8-inch display with a 1200 x 1920 resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. There's a 5-megapixel camera, dual-band WiFi, GPS, an accelerometer, and Android Marshmallow.
