Lexus LY 650 Yacht is 65 feet of luxury

Says the Lexus name and automatically most will think of luxury cars, but that isn't all the brand is about. Lexus has a new luxury yacht that it is bragging about called the Lexus LY 650. The yacht debuted today in Florida and is part of the Lexus challenge to itself to "go beyond the automobile to deliver innovative and amazing experiences."

The LY 650 is based on the Lexus Sport Yacht Concept that was first seen in 2017 with unique styling and "superb cruising performance." Lexus promises that the yacht has "exquisite" attention to detail and is designed for comfort and performance in the water.

The design of the yacht gives a unique style for the boating world and was designed in collaboration with an Italian yacht design studio called Nuvolari Lenard. Everything about the design and interior living space is meant to "exemplify" high quality in every detail. The hull of the yacht is made of composite and combines carbon fiber-reinforced plastic and glass fiber-reinforced plastic that was jointly developed with Marquis Yachts LLC.

The Lexus LY 650 is fitted with an LY-Link system that offers advanced connectivity for boating and shares timely information and provides control of various yacht functions. LY 650 was built in conjunction with Marquis Yachts in Wisconsin. Lexus says that the yacht will be seen at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida at the end of October.

The yacht has an optional two-tone color scheme with metallic accents. The interior is bright-white themed and has a sense of openness. The salon has dual captains seats and sofas with three elegant berths. Each berth has 6-feet, 6-inches of headroom each with a private bathroom and shower. Power is from a pair of Volvo Penta IPS engines making up to 1350 horsepower each. The yacht holds 1,060 gallons of fuel and up to 225 gallons of fresh water.
