Have a look at LEGO's take on Tracer from Overwatch

Overwatch is probably the perfect example of a video game that gained immense popularity early on and managed to hold onto it. After all, the game is such a hit that it's getting a series of LEGO sets modeled after it, and LEGO doesn't create sets for any old thing. Today, we're getting our very first look at these new Overwatch-themed LEGOs, starting with – what else? – the Tracer mini figure.

It makes a lot of sense that LEGO would give us our first look at its incoming Overwatch sets by revealing the Tracer mini figure first. After all, while other heroes in the game have attained varying levels of popularity, Tracer has been the face of Overwatch from the very start. You can catch a glimpse of what she looks like in the video below.

The video shows Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan putting Tracer together before she springs to life and starts reciting her lines from the game. In typical Tracer fashion, she begins zipping around, with the final shot slowing her down so we can get a good look. Her mini figure seems pretty detailed, which makes us excited to see what else LEGO has in store for this release.

So far, LEGO has been pretty tight-lipped about what we can expect from its Overwatch sets, though we can make an educated guess. Sets will likely revolve around maps from the game, with mini figures obviously based on the game's 28 playable characters. Depending on how detailed LEGO wants to get, these sets have the potential to be pretty extensive, as Overwatch's maps are all fairly large and complex.

LEGO isn't the only toy partnership Blizzard has managed to secure, as it also recently partnered with NERF to release a number of Overwatch-themed blasters. We'll be keeping an ear to the ground for more on these Overwatch LEGO sets, so stay tuned for that.
