LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse HQ Set Officially Unveiled

Following a leak earlier this week, LEGO has officially taken the wraps off its upcoming Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters set. The set made an unofficial appearance briefly on the Canadian Toys "R" Us website a few days ago, revealing both details and an image of the set. As is common after such leaks, LEGO went ahead and introduced the product, doing so on its social accounts.

LEGO dropped four stylish images of the kit, which is set #75827, on its Twitter and Facebook accounts. In the images, we see the same firehouse headquarters we saw in the leak, but from different angles and with a more attractive — and iconic — background.

LEGO hasn't revealed all of the details at this time, though it did say that the set will be arriving in January 2016 on its Twitter account, and posted the same message on its Facebook. There's no word on how much the set will cost; the Toys "R" Us page that had accidentally gone live listed the price as $400 CAD, which is a substantial — and not official — price.

The set reportedly has 4,634 pieces, with the resulting headquarters structure having two floors split into several sections. There's a living quarter, for example, as well as a laboratory and ghost contamination unit. There will also be nine minifigs, according to the leaked listing, including all the Ghostbusters, as well as the library ghost and more.
