Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SuperVeloce rocks 739hp

Lamborghini rolled out a new version of the awesome Aventador with more power and performance. The new version of the car is called the Aventador LP 750-4 SuperVeloce. The 750 in the name goes along with how much power the big 6.5L V12 engine makes at 750hp. The catch is that 750 hp rating is metric horsepower, in the US the car makes a bit less at 739hp.

Along with more power than the standard Aventador, the car also went on a diet and lost about 110 pounds in the process. The weight loss comes thanks to higher use of carbon fiber. Inside the SV gets a revised interior with new sports bucket seats and door panels made from carbon fiber.

The standard vehicle deletes the infotainment system, but you can add it back in as a no cost option. Certain bits of the noise insulation are ditched along with carpet. Performance is what this car focuses on and it can reach 62mph in 2.8 seconds.

That's only a tenth of a second faster than the normal Aventador. Top speed is claimed to be over 217 mph. Lamborghini also used some new aerodynamic tidbits to improve downforce. While the power and 0-60 time aren't that changed from the standard car, with lighter weight and other tweaks it should perform better on the track. Lamborghini says that the aerodynamics of the car are improved 150% for efficiency and the SV produces 170% more downforce.
