Kineo Android tablet from Brainchild ships in March
My kids don't mind going to school most days, but they are downright excited on the days they are having computer lab. Tech in the classroom is a great way to get kids excited about learning. A company called Brainchild has unveiled a new Android tablet specifically designed for the classroom called the Kineo.
The tablet is designed to survive the rigors of kids with a rugged design and a touchscreen that is good for 500,000 impressions. The battery inside the tablet is good for 10-12 hours of use per charge. One of the big features of the tablet is that it has limited access to the internet and other applications to keep kids safe and on task.
The tablet has WiFi and can play multimedia and video files. The screen is a 7-inch unit with 800 x 480 resolution and the CPU is an 800MHz dual-core. It has 2GB of internal storage and runs Android 2.1. The tablet can be pre-ordered right now for $299 each and will ship in March.
