Keyport's new modular multitools are for the modern world

We've seen older models akin to them in the past, and now the company behind the product is back with refined versions of its Keyport, a multitool designed for the modern world. There are two new versions this time around, the Keyport Slide 3.0 and the Keyport Pivot 1.0. Both models are modular and can be customized, and are inspired by classic multitools, only they bring a modern twist.

A classic multitool, of course, features small tools like blades and bottle openers that fold into a small frame. The Keyport devices are similar to this, but can be customized with some more modern tools like an LED light or USB drive. In addition, the Keyport devices have a Bluetooth tracking feature that works with the TrackR app for locating the multitool when it is misplaced.

The Keyport multitools also hold one's keys, combining things you frequently carry into a single device small enough to fit into a pocket. The Slide is the more compact of the two, while the Pivot is a more entry-level device that can hold a few keys, a blade, and more.

Keyport Inc., the company behind Keyport, is seeking funding for its newest models on Kickstarter, where it has exceeded its $100,000 goal with $140,920 in funds and 19 days remaining. The Keyport Pivot is available for a $20 pledge, and the Keyport Slide 3.0 4-port version for $29 USD. Both are estimated to start shipping this upcoming July.
