Kanguru Goes Green With The Eco Drive
It's hip to be green, or at least it seems that way these days. Kanguru solutions has joined the ranks of manufacturers that have decided to make products that draw as little power as needed. Their latest release of the Eco Drive promises not only to consume less power, but extend the life of the drive itself.

The Kanguru Eco Drive has three different Power Saving modes that include Idle, where it only uses 80% of normal consumption after 3 seconds of inactivity. Standby, which only uses 10-20% after 3 minutes, and Power Down which uses only 5-10% after 5 minutes.
The drives are available in capacities up to 750GB and connect via USB 2.0, though they promise a SATA option later. The drives range from $95 to $350 in price.
