It's the Moto E4's turn to be leaked

Motorola will soon dump an alphabet soup on the the smartphone market. At least that's what the latest leak hinted at, showing half a dozen letters, each with almost 2 phones each. We've already heard about the X, now it's time to hear about the E. Yes, there will be a new Moto E soon. Two in fact. The Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus will continue the line's tradition of offering value for less, but, this time it might be encroaching on one model above it.

Last year, the Lenovo-owned Motorola made a rather odd move. It announced a Moto G4 Play when it already had a Moto G4 and a Moto G4 Plus. It skewed things a bit towards the G's side. This year, it seems that Motorola will bring back the balance by having the Moto E4 Plus kick out the G4 Play.

Both the "normal" Moto E4 and its larger sibling share some traits in common. Both will have rather mediocre MediaTek MT6737M processors and 720p screens. While both do have 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage configurations, there's a possibility that a 3 GB RAM Moto E4 Plus model will be available.

Of course, there are evident differences two. The most obvious being the screens, 5 inches on the Moto E4 and 5.5 on the Moto E4 Plus. The biggest discrepancy between the two, however, is the battery. The Moto E4 gets a measly 2,800 mAh while the Moto E4 Plus gets a whopping 5,000 mAh. If that weren't enough, the batteries might actually be removable.

No date has been leaked yet for this two "value" smartphones. But when they do launch, they're expected to cost 150 EUR ($165) and 190 EUR ($210) for the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus, respectively. Available colors will be gold, gray, and, depending on market and model, blue.
