It's alive! iPhone 6 hacked together using sourced parts

Remember that bootleg iPhone running Android? It was a complete hack job, void of anything officially Apple. It may have looked the part, but it wasn't even iOS. The guys who have been responsible for a lot of the iPhone 6 component leaks have hacked together their own iPhone, made of sourced iPhone parts.

As you can see in the video below, the iPhone 6-enstein even turns on! Though it doesn't have any actual software to it, it powers on, suggesting Feld & Volk — the leakers responsible for this one — have all they need to make an actual iPhone 6.

The luxury customizers have been hard at work sourcing a variety of materials for the iPhone 6, and kindly sharing them to the world. They've now taken those various components, slapped them together, and made something that at least turns on.

Well, to be fair, there are two somethings that turn on, but we won't spoil the video for you.

We'll also note this could be fairly easy to fake, but we've seen enough from Feld & Volk to go ahead and assume they're on the up-and-up, here. For a really solid hands-on look at the new iPhone 6, check out the video. You'll see some rough edges, particularly where the rear Apple logo insert doesn't quite sit perfectly in the metal casing, but hey — no monster is perfect.
