Interactive paper plays sounds based on touch
Paper is about as low-tech as you get right? Not anymore, scientists at Mid Sweden University have developed what they are calling "interactive paper."https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVD0SRxIQ-IThe paper can detect and react to your touch by playing sounds when touched in specific areas. This is achieved by the use of an ink that is laced with silver particles. This eliminates the need for bulky wires and allows for a very cool effect. The sound is produced by tiny electromagnets that vibrate in response to varying current flows. Cavities inside the paper amplify the sound. Very cool stuff.Interactive paper plays sound is tons of fun [via newlaunches]
