The two companies will fund future TV shows together. The deal will also see HBO shows coming to Sky Atlantic for another six years. That additional six years gives Sky Atlantic access to HBO shows until 2020.

The deal will keep the HBO programs from hitting services like Netflix, Lovefilm, and others in the UK. Sky Atlantic will get HBO shows this year including Girls, Game of Thrones, and Boardwalk Empire later this year. New shows are also covered in the deal including True Detective, and Looking.

Sky has also recently made updates to its interface. The interface gets new sections for Catch Up TV, TV Box Sets, Sky+ Planner, and Sky Store. The live guide is also there so all viewing options can be perused in one place.
