Harry Potter spinoff movie 'Fantastic Beasts' nabs Jon Voight

As Harry Potter fans know, there's a new movie in the works called "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," a spinoff movie that takes place seven decades before Harry Potter gets his hands on Newt Scamander's book. The movie, as you may expect, will revolve around Newt Scamander, a magizoologist, and he'll be played by Eddie Redmayne. The movie won't be arriving until next year, but ahead of that we've gotten some more casting news.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jon Voight, Gemma Chan, and Carmen Ejogo have all been cast for the upcoming movie, which is a Warner Bros. production. They join Colin Farrel, Samantha Morton, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, and Dan Fogler, all of whom are playing various characters in the flick.

Ejogo is perhaps best known for her role in the movie Selma, and she'll soon be starring in "Born to be Blue" with Ethan Hawke. Chan, meanwhile, appeared in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and London Fields; she has also had multiple roles on television.

Jon Voight has had many roles in various movies, including Mission: Impossible, Transformers, Heat, Deliverance, multiple TV shows, and more. According to his IMDB page, he's also going to be appearing in several upcoming movies, including "Reagan".

It isn't clear what roles they will be playing.
