Halo arcade game now available at Dave & Buster's in North America

During E3 2018, Microsoft revealed Halo: Fireteam Raven, an arcade game based on the popular video game franchise. The arcade game is exactly what it sounds like: a physical gaming device that can be installed in arcades, giving players the chance to experience Halo in a new way. The first of those arcade units are now available to play in the US and Canada, and they'll be arriving in other countries soon.

The new Halo: Fireteam Raven game isn't Halo 6, but it is a new opportunity for fans craving new Halo experiences. Anyone familiar with immersive first-person shooter arcade games will know what to expect from Microsoft's new offering. This coin-operated machine boasts a massive 130-inch 4K display and physical controls.

The new gaming experience was made possible by PlayMechanix, 343 Industries, and Raw Thrills. Players are put into the same timeline as Combat Evolved, where they play as Orbital Drop Shock Troopers alongside Master Chief and the UNSC. As with the console and PC games, Fireteam Raven pits gamers against Covenant forces.

The game offers familiar weapons and vehicles, including the Warthog and Needler, as well as turret-mounted machine guns. Arcade game players can optionally link the game to Halo Waypoint, as well. The game has a total of six levels.

As of now, fans in the US and Canada can find the Halo: Fireteam Raven arcade game at more than 100 Dave & Buster's stores. By the end of the year, Microsoft plans to launch the arcade game in another 20 countries.
