Tesla has announced its new pickup truck, the Tesla Cybertruck. The much-anticipated utility vehicle made its debut shortly after the LA Auto Show 2019, and is the latest in the California automaker's line of all-electric vehicles. It'll target not only individual drivers but professionals too, who need reliability and power from their pickup.

It's certainly like nothing we've seen before. The design is even more controversial than Elon Musk warned us it would be, a wedge-like chunk of sharp-edged stainless steel. The body, Musk says, is bullet-proof.

There'll be three versions, with pricing kicking off at under $40k before incentives. At the top end, there are three motors and 500+ miles of range. Expect production from around late 2021.
